Today marks the first day of the second trimester! Boy (or girl) it sure is nice to get the 1st one out of the way. I'm already feeling somewhat better, keeping my fingers crossed. The last few days have been better in the energy department, but it still isn't where it should be! I get to clean the house in sections, otherwise I poop out early and don't get anything done. Lucky, huh?!?!

Hmmm, so what is new with us?
Myrtle Beach was nice and relaxing. As far as the traveling went, it went well. There wasn't any swelling!! My ankles were happy.
All I did was sleep, eat, and lie on the beach. Cade on the other hand was busy busy busy on the golf course for 6 days! I told him next year will be totally different with the little one on vaca too! AKA--only tourny rounds will be played vs extra rounds for fun;) We will be doing family days next year!! Yep I'm the ruler.

I'm ready to start feeling the lil one move around inside! I have felt small flutters but I'm sure it was just me and digestion feelings vs. baby. When do I start feeling it? Hurry up, whenever it is...

We have another Dr. appt in a few weeks...and I hope we get another sonogram to see how much bigger this one is vs August.

From things on my google searches and my iPregnancy app on the phone...everything says the baby's face is completely formed! That's insane considering a few weeks ago there was barely anything!!
Here are some interesting facts:

1. The brain is fully formed
2. Vocal chords are complete, and the baby can even cry?!?!!?
3. Toes and fingers are completely formed (pray for 10 and 10)
4. Length is 2.4 inches...about the length of your pinky finger or a Vienna sausage(which I used to eat ALLLLL the time growing up! The sausages, not fingers hahaha)
5. Weighs 1/2 an ounce now, fatty! JK
6. He/she can swallow and practices on it's amniotic fluid....I need to drink lots of water to replenish
7. Fetuses get oxygen from the blood pumped into their bodies by the placenta and don't breathe with their lungs.
8. This is kind of gross so feel free to skip ahead: The intestines are well under way, but they aren't all where you'd expect them to be. Instead of all being locked away in the body, some are dangling on the outside, in the umbilical cord. Ewwww!!!!!!!!!!!
9. The eyelids now cover the eyes (beautiful blue eyes!!!), and will remain shut until the seventh month to protect the delicate optical nerve fibers.

That's just a few things! That was kind of fun, I'll start giving you guys fun tid-bits of information on the growth of this little one!

First Debut

Here is a sneak peak of our little one! He/she is bigger than this now, as this sonogram was taken a few weeks ago. (Momma Hall has been slacking on the blogging!)

There is nothing like hearing the heart beat for the very first time and seeing our baby moving around! It brought tears to Cade's eyes=)

We went back to Dr. Seligman this week for our first official office visit and got a second sonogram(which the pictures are just print outs, not on DVD) The Doppler wasn't able to pick up the heart beat in the office so that is why we go to do another one.....BUUUUUUT pretty much anytime we can have the option to have a sono because, as Dr. Seligman says, "We know the system". Thanks to Denice!! Or as this little one will know her as DeeDee.

Cade and I leave Saturday for our annual Myrtle Beach trip, and soooo ready to be on the beach. I was told to drinks lots of water, get up every hour on the plane, and to expect A LOOOT of swelling after we landed. He made a hang gesture to as the circumference of a cantaloupe?!? Wow! I'll let you know if that really happens, my guess is not.

Sleeping Beauty

OK, so the morning sickness that I was experiencing last week was just a fluke bug.

Yes, I would throw up...but I was also running a slight temperature and was achy all over. Go figure.

Now I am feeling better with no more morning sickness.

However, I can't seem to keep my eyes open and I am sleeping. A lot!!! I feel worthless that I sleep my days away, but I just can't help it. Growing our little albino, toe-headed, blue eyed baby is seriously tiring=)

Our first sonogram appointment is August 14th at 11:00 am. We decided to go to Denice's office, Omega Ob/Gyn in Arlington. We will get extra perks...tons of sonograms, 3D, little help with financials, and the best care from Dr. Seligman. He is a long time friend of Denice's...he's her fav.

We will post the pictures of the little peanut after our big appointment.

Morning Sickness kicks in

Last week the pregnancy felt surreal considering there were no symptoms whatsoever.

I spoke too soon.

The last few days I have felt fine...until I eat something.

Now our little baby doesn't agree with what I try to feed he/she, and makes me throw it up. Blah.

I told Cade I think it's a girl. Only a girl would be so sassy and disagree with her menu. JK. It's not like I am eating anything weird. I just tried eating rice, chicken and veggies. Very healthy food so he/she grows strong! Hmmm, next meal I'll try bland foods.

Only time will tell.

I guess it is a blessing in disguise that I am not working at the moment so I can get the 1st trimester out of the way and get to feeling normal. I hope I will feel normal again=) (and hope to find a job sooner than later)

YAY! We have a baby on the way!!

Well, it's official...Cade and I are expecting!!!!!!!! We are just a little over 4 weeks.

We found out July 14, 2009. I hadn't felt sick at all but had a certain feeling that we were pregnant. I took a test and woke Cade up instantly as the two pink lines appeared on that little white stick. I had to do a double take because it was automatically showing pregnant....there was NO waiting the 3-5 minutes, as the box tells you to wait.

Cade was still half way asleep and looked up at me and said, "No way" with the biggest smile I have ever seen. We laid in bed and giggled and couldn't contain our happiness. I decided to take another test, and then another, and oh wait--another just to be sure! All were pointing to YES.

Yay! Then we said, "What do we do now?" So I called my ob/gyn and told the nurse the news and we scheduled our first sono and doctor's appointment August 19th (our 8 week mark). It is going to feel like forever until we go and talk to somebody.

We waited until the next day to tell our parents and rest of the family. Everyone is super excited and a few tears were shed because we can't contain our happiness. GOD IS GREAT!

We know it is "earlier" than when most tell friends and family, but if you know me and Cade...we aren't good at keeping secrets. Never have, neverl will=)

Mark your calendars, Baby Hall will be joining the world March 23, 2010.

I hope you enjoy our blog as we keep you up-to-date as we come closer and embark on one of the most happiest times in our entire lives!!!! (I just teared up writing that sentence!) Ooops, I guess I already have the pregnancy hormones. No, that's just me!
